Supper, which must be prebooked by the preceding Monday, is served at 19.00, for those who wish to eat at the Club.  The talks/presentations, by Members or guest speakers, start at 20.00hrs and cover a wide range of topics from boats to history and current affairs to plagiarised radio programmes as detailed in the separate programme list issued to all Members; indeed something for everyone! Details may also be accessed from the Events menu on the website toolbar.

On the Big Screen…  The Club is a great place to watch major sporting events, or favourite shows with friends. This season featured Rugby Six Nations games, and Strictly Come Dancing!  A snack menu is often available and the Bar open depending on timings.

Dinners, Parties and themed evenings take place throughout the year.  Sometimes a chance to dress to impress, such as the formal Trafalgar Night Dinner, and others, very informal such as wine and cheese evenings.  See the calendar for details.  Booking usually opens two weeks beforehand and numbers are sometimes limited, so it’s worth signing up quickly.

The Book Club meets in the J Room on the first Friday of every month at 14:00.  All members are welcome to come along – for details of the book of the month click on Events and then Book Club on the drop down menu. Members who would like to share a bite to eat usually meet in the restaurant at 13:00.

Bridge Club meets every Thursday at 14:00.  This is a very friendly affair and no-one takes their bridge too seriously!  We often have four or five tables of players and lessons can be arranged for beginners and improvers.  Players stay to socialise at the end of play and the bar opens at 17:00.

The Yottery Draw takes place on the second Friday of every month.  More details about the scheme and  an application form may be accessed from  the Toolbar under Membership/The Yottery, and the list of lucky winners is shown under Club Member Resources in the Members Only part of the website.

A Mahjong group has been formed, meeting on Friday afternoons.

Use of Club facilities by members and the local community The clubhouse is a wonderful setting for members to hold private functions, and for local organisations to arrange meetings, conferences etc. Troy Players and the Harbour Commissioners both hold meetings in the Clubhouse.
